Six Days and Counting

When I was planning on studying abroad, so many people told me to enjoy it because it will fly by. And it's true! I can't believe that at this time on Sunday I will be waiting for my plane to D.C. (I mean, my flight won't be until noon, but I like to get to the airport absurdly early haha). It is definitely a bittersweet feeling that I can't actually explain. On one hand, Copenhagen is an absolutely wonderful city and I really adore so many people I've met here (it was my birthday last Friday and we went to dinner and just sat around and talked for a few hours and it was quiet, but just made me realize how much I am going to miss the extraordinary people I live with), but, on the other, I have missed my family and friends at home so much this semester and cannot wait to be reunited. So, I'm sure I will want to rush right back over here once I get settled, but I think it'll be good to be home. I think that's a positive way to think of it, too, just that while I'm ready to be home, I have had some amazing experiences here and met some wonderful people.

But, now it sounds like I'm completely done with the semester, which is unfortunately not the case haha... I have an absurd amount of work to do this week (but, of course, I am here rambling rather than writing real papers). This happens every semester, but the lack of motivation is excessive this time, probably due to such a big change coming up in a few days. So, instead of spending hours on facebook and adding songs to my "guilty-pleasures" playlist (which is pretty awful and if my private session for Spotify turns off and people actually see what I'm listening to, I'll be slightly mortified haha), I need to just get down to business!

So, I need to write a reflection paper on my visit to the Louvre, a discussion 6 Impressionist paintings,  food waste/the Rio+20 conference (which aren't really connected and is basically like pulling teeth to write), 6 Danish sculptures and how they relate to Classical work, and study for a final exam in the History of Copenhagen. Oh, and do my work study hours that I kind of forgot about earlier in the semester. And see everything in Copenhagen I have put off all semester. Lovely. But it's only 6 days, so I'm not sure how it'll happen, but somehow I will finish everything!
