Two Weeks to Departure

In exactly two weeks from tomorrow, I will be flying (by myself, eek) to COPENHAGEN! Definitely freaking out, but I know it'll be completely wonderful. Or hope, I guess haha...

A few days ago, I found out that I am officially living in the Green House! So I will be in Central Copenhagen living with 15 other DIS students who have a similar interest in sustainable living. There will also be 2 Danish students living with us as Residential Advisors. So, that is exciting! I also learned that I will have a visiting family, the Strømbergs. Since I'm not living with a host family, I will be able to meet up with them whenever we plan and get to spend time with them (so I'm not only meeting Americans). It may be incredibly awkward, but who knows.

I saw "We Bought a Zoo" last week and despite it's incredibly silly title, it was adorable and very well made. Anyway, Matt Damon's character is asked why he bought the zoo and he responds "Why not?" Turns out, that's the same thing his wife told him blah blah, but I thought that it was a good motto to have! I am basically scared out of my wits (that's a saying, right?) about leaving everyone I know to go to the cold, rainy city for four months all by myself, but why not? I'm twenty, this is really the only opportunity I'll have to do something like this, and regardless of what happens, I'll be in an old, beautiful city in Europe. How can't I have a great time?! So, when opportunities for adventures come up, why not?
